Our investments in small companies has allowed us to build an endowment and continue funding to important programs while providing and economic boost to our local community.

Native Hawaiian Organizations

NHOs are non-profit organizations authorized by the Small Business Administration (SBA) to participate in the 8(a) Business Development program. NHOs provide invaluable economic benefits to the State of Hawaii and the Native Hawaiian community by developing job opportunities, building the capacity of innovative industries, and supporting important social and economic programs.

Small Disadvantaged Business

A Small Disadvantaged Business (SDB) is a small business that is at least 51 percent owned by one or more individuals who are both socially and economically disadvantaged. SDB status makes a company eligible for bidding and contracting benefit programs involved with federal procurement.
